How to Replace the Ignition Illumination
1990-1994 Lexus LS400

Before doing anything read my disclaimer & safety info.

Notes

This only takes about 5 minutes. Instead of buying a bulb buy an LED! They last longer and come in a variety of colors: White, blue, green, red, and amber. If you don't want an LED buy a #2721 bulb.

Tools Needed:

Parts/Supplies Needed:

Yes the LED is slightly longer, but it fits perfectly.

1) Pry off the panel using a thin flat headed screwdriver.

These 5 clips hold the panel on. I only had to pry from the bottom and it popped right off.

2) Unscrew.

3) Carefully pull this piece off and disconnect the wiring. Pull the wiring loom down and it will be easier to undo the bulb. Rotate to get the bulb out.

4) Pull out the old bulb and put the new LED in. If it doesn't work turn it around. You can see the wiring loom is pulled down in this pic.

5) Put everything back together. You're in business!
